Essex, MT

Halfway between East and West Glacier, Essex is a BNSF helper station and home of the Izaak Walton Inn, built in 1939 for Great Northern train crews. The Izaak Walton is now a railfan haven. Served by Amtrak's "Empire Builder". Image Links (Opens a new window):
