Tucson SP Roundhouse in 1958 - Tucson, AZ

HistoricAerials.com is an excellent resource for looking up vintage aerial images of railroad facilities. The number of places that have older imagery is still limited, but growing. Here is an example - a 1958 view of the SP engine facilities in Tucson, Arizona in 1958. Image Links (Opens a new window):

Hey appreciate the link to historic arials. After Google earth you get frustrated that you can't scoot the curser to the next map. Now 1950s street view would be way cool.

There was a Southern Pacific roundhouse on 3rd Ave. and 13th St. in Tucson, Az. in the 1940s. My dad work there and I took him lunch when school was out. Is there any information about it?

I liven in railway workers old lodgings at 3rd Ave and 13th street. 3rd Ave became E Toole and ran to and past the Southern Railroad station.
