Cascade Loops - OR

These double hairpin curves on the Union Pacific (former SP) were the site of a massive mudslide at Frazier on January 19, 2008. 1500 feet of mainline was covered with about one-million tons of debris. A massive effort by U.P. restored the line to service by early May.
